We Got a Review!

Monday, November 15th, 2010

The Make Me Smile app was listed as a Top Stress Relieving App for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch!  It’s a nice, little review, and sums up the app perfectly stating that the  Make Me Smile app “simply melts stress away through a familiar picture or song.”  Yay!

In related app news, an update for the iPad Universal portion will be submitted to Apple in a couple of days after some additional testing, so I’ll let you know when things are a “Go!”

Sorry for No Updates Lately.

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

Hi all,  I just wanted to apologize a bit for lack of new stuff, postings, or app updates, and I know it’s not a great excuse, but I am getting married in the next week or so, so things have been busy. Who knew? I did want to put another quick thank you to those of you who got the Make Me Smile app and found the website, and for those of you who haven’t downloaded it yet, what are you waiting for?

I do have some updates planned in the coming month, once things calm down a bit and I come down from my “being married” cloud, but for now, thank you for your support, and please, if you have any suggestions, leave a comment or send me an e-mail!

Thanks!

A New “Lite” Version

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

I guess I should have posted right away, but I wanted to make sure the new “Lite” Version of the Make Me Smile app was stable, and all appears well.  Yup, you can now get your smileness for free, albeit with some iAds included when they show, but they aren’t too obtrusive, and actually, if you click on them, they are some of the nicer ads you’ll find on a mobile phone.

The Lite version also allows you to share your smileness by bumping devices.  So, if you bought the full version and want to share your smile photo with a friend, you can simply have them download the free version, or better yet, get them to buy the full version!

The Lite version does not allow you to post your smile picture to Facebook like the full version, and the full version is also iPad enabled so it’s almost like two apps in one.

So go ahead, try the Lite version, and if you like it, or want to easily share your Smile photo on your Facebook page, there is always the $0.99 version.  The choice for smileness is now yours!

A Quick Update – V. 1.6

Monday, July 5th, 2010

With my nephew’s urging, and a realization V. 1.5 didn’t work exactly as I wanted, I pushed out V. 1.6 of the Make Me Smile app quicker than planned so sorry if the quick update is annoying. The sharing features are all still present, but I added a button so that you can auto-approve your “Smile” photo to your Facebook wall, and also tested it to ensure it works with those of you running iOS 4.0

Thanks for you support, please leave me some feedback no matter your opinion, and drop a rating in the app store!

Share Your Smiles!

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Version 1.5 of the Make Me Smile app is now in the app store.  It was a good learning experience for me, adding new stuff, but I’m really excited about how things are shaping up.  In this new version, for iPhone and iPod touch users (the iPad capability will be coming with the next update), you can share your smile photo in a number of ways.

First – You can upload your “Smile” photo to your Facebook wall.  Yup, those of you with Facebook pages, and who doesn’t have one, can easily, using the app, post the photo on you wall!

Second – Let’s say you have a friend next to you with an iPhone or iPod touch and you want to easily share a copy of your “Smile” photo with them?  Well, Just use the Bump feature, and will a simple, light bumping of your phones, your photo will be magically sent to their device and added as a smile photo.  Your friend then has a copy of your photo!

Third – You can e-mail the photo to anyone!  Yup, just use the e-mail sharing feature, enter their e-mail address, and a copy of your “Smile” photo will be on it’s way!

I’m really excited about the new update, and hope all of you like it! Please send me your feedback, or go ahead and give a rating for the app store!
